2010-08-11 Denville Dog Park before sunset but in the clouds

Scraps and Rags haven’t been at the dog park for over a week as we were all busy competing in a dog agility trial over the week end.  We got there pretty early, before most of the other dogs.  At the park were SammyBlack, Goji, Phoebe and a new dog to us and the blog, Cookie a Golden who quickly pinned Scraps against the fence and overwhelmed him in a pretty frightening manner.  He then proceeded to do the same to Rags.  We boogied into the small dog park and threw a few balls around until Cookie left. I hope we don’t meet him again.

We then re-joined the rest of the safe dogs in the main area.  A whole bunch of dogs began to arrive around 6:00 p.m. and the dog park was about as busy as I have seen it since we have gone there.  I count 23 dogs and I probably missed 1 or 2.  Unfortunately, the clouds rolled in and the light was not there to effectively capture all the action in all it glory.  I did what I could.  There is probably better video than there is photography.  Let me not forget that also new to the blog arriving late before I left were Tucker, Maggie and Carter. Finally, while Cindy came right as we left, I don’t think I got any pictures of her, but if I gave Cookie a mention after what he did to Scraps and Rags, I didn’t want to forget Cindy.

2010-08-02 Denville Dog Park before sunset

It was a nice day when Scraps and Rags arrived a bit earlier than usual to enjoy the time before sunset.  New to us and the blog was Hitchhiker, a light tan lab.

Scraps and Rags played ball in the small dog park before joining the big boys, so you will have to wade through a lot of shots of Scraps and Rags in today’s Picasa Web album before getting to all the other dogs.  You need not to fret, I got a lot of good shots of every one.

2010-07-31 Denville Dog Park a quick one before and after sunset

After a quick little kayak trip by the Meadowlands, we decided to get a little dog park time in before dinner.  It was a beautiful night with only a handful or two of dogs in the park.  Scraps and Rags did a little agility in the down-time.

2010-07-29 Denville Dog Park before sunset

Welcome Sammy and Heidi

When Scraps and Rags arrived around 5:30 there weren’t many dogs around.  It was earlier than we usually arrive, we even beat Darby.  In the park were Phoebe who quickly left and Charlie Brown.  There was also a new 7-month old black dog named Sammy who was there for the duration.  It was a nice evening after the afternoon’s heavy rains and the dogs began to arrive in numbers.  Also new to the blog was a 6 month old Shepard named Heidi.  Finally, there was a white dog named Micky who I have seen before but never knew his name.  I left before sunset so I assume there were many other dogs soon to arrive but an hour and a half were enough for us.  Until next time, bow-wow.
