2010-08-28 – Saturday in Dog Park

It was a gorgeous Saturday in late August so we decided to bike ride with Scraps and Rags over to the Central Dog Park after breakfast and then head to the Morris Plains farmers market thereafter.  It was a great plan and well executed.  When we got to the dog park we saw a few of our friends from the Denville Dog Park including the poodles, Lily, Ollie and Grace.  Phoebe was also there for a little while.

There were 5 or 6 small dogs that we hung out with including Henry and Hamlet.  We also saw Ringo for the first time at the dog park.  It was nice that we were able to enjoy the tent and chairs staged for tomorrows Dinner With Your Dogs fund raiser.  We all look forward to that event as the weather is looking to be mighty fine for that one.

2010-06-30 Denville Dog Park at Sunset – Kathy Shots

I wasn’t at the dog park this evening but Kathy did her best to fill in for me and get some good pictures.

2010-06-29– Denville Dog Park – Crowded After Sunset

Scraps and Rags arrived after sunset so we missed the glow of dusk and the opportunity for warm pictures.  I therefore present tonight’s activities in black and white to mask the lack of sunshine.  What we lost in light we made up in mass.  There were lots of dogs there on this comfortable evening including four new ones to the blog including Maya, Chester, Mattie and Harley (the small).

2010-06-15 – Denville Dog Park After Sunset

Scraps and Rags arrived after sunset at the dog park.  We met a few new dogs including a tiny8-month dachshund named Chelsea as well as a black standard poodle name Harley and a medium white dog furry name Murphy.  Besides them Buddy, Rusty, Phoebe, Milo the White and Yoshi were there.  We had to cut our stay short because Scraps broke his dew-claw while chasing a ball in the grass.  This the the 4th time this has happened to him so we are pretty good at taking care of it by now.  We scooped him up and drove to the 24-hour animal hospital in West Caldwell on Bloomfield Ave.  A couple of hours and $175 dollars later he was all snipped and bandaged up ready to grow and break that thing for another time.  Nevertheless, below are the few  pictures I took up to the time of Scraps’ accident.
