Scraps and Rags arrived at the dog park on this very nice, comfortable Friday evening after the sun set behind the trees in the small dog park. This meant it was pretty dark in the small dog park for photos but it was coll and comfortable and it brought out many dogs. New to the dog blog was Forrest, now known as ForrerstGrey since there is already a Forrest on the blog. ForrestGrey was an anxious grey short-haired poodle type that Scraps took a liking to as the two of them pranced around together. There were lots of other small dogs also. It’s just too bad there wasn’t enough light to get too many good pictures that were in focus as the dogs ran around.

It was a nice thank G-d it’s Friday night at the large dog park and there was a nice group of dogs to plays with. Scraps and Rags don’t play too much but I did get a good opportunity to pull a slew of fur out of Rags with the Furminator. Don’t have much time to chat but there are some cool photos.

This Sunday was a much nicer day than yesterday. It was sunnier, warmer and the snow was softer on the dogs’ paws. This brought out lots of dogs including my beloved Scraps and Rags. We first went to the small dog park where we played with many of the same dogs we saw yesterday.
I guess lots of the dogs have cabin fever and the warm sun got them excited. With the bright sun and the playful dogs I was able to get many good action photos. There was a lot of playing and running in the small dog park where about 10 dogs came out to play. Later in the large dog park, there were mainly big dogs and they were also playing hard.
New to the dog park blog were a pair of giant Irish Wolf Hounds Petey and Katie. There was also a brown bodied Pit-bull with a bright white face named Rocky who was getting picked on by the much smaller yet more tenacious Forrest, the Jack Russell. We’ll refer to Rocky as RockyBrown. Finally, in the small dog park we met a small Pit-bull like tan dog named Nigel. For some reason, Nigel always gets bit so his Mom was fearing Rags may attack him. It never happened.

It was a busy dog Sunday for Rags, and too a lesser extent Scraps, which culminated in a great day at Morris County’s dog park located at Central Park. It is really beautiful hanging out in Morris County right now as the weather is just right and the leaves are in full color all over.
We started the day at agility class with Rags over at St. Huberts in Chatham. The practice field there was in full living color and a delight to go to. Rags is beginning to learn how to work an agility course. Right from dog class we stopped by Morristown where a parade of dogs in Halloween costumes was just getting underway. This was a really nice dog event and I took lots of nice pictures of the dogs in costume, so check them out here. From the parade we decided to go to the dog park with Scraps and Rags.
Central Park was bustling with some type of racing event at the park-side and the dog park was loaded with dogs. What a great new park! We arrived around 1:00 and the sunlight was good for photographs. We ventured into the small dog park for quite a while as there was a lot of activity there. Many white dogs. We saw Ringo! Lucky was a cute new brown dog (Dachshund Chihuahua mix) with long pointy ears. Sebastian of course was there stirring up the pot and when Lewis and Clark arrived, it was just that much more doggy bedlam. Too bad Scraps and Rags did partake in much of it. Doesn’t matter, Rags was pooped from the previous activities and resting in the comfortable park was relaxing. It gave me an opportunity to get pictures of the other dogs.
We then hung in the large park for a while. There was also a lot of activity over there. We did a lap, enjoyed the foliage, took lots of pictures and then headed home. I ran out of battery power on the camera, so there was no use hanging out in the dog park any more.
