2010-07-31 Denville Dog Park a quick one before and after sunset

After a quick little kayak trip by the Meadowlands, we decided to get a little dog park time in before dinner.  It was a beautiful night with only a handful or two of dogs in the park.  Scraps and Rags did a little agility in the down-time.

2010-07-29 Denville Dog Park before sunset

Welcome Sammy and Heidi

When Scraps and Rags arrived around 5:30 there weren’t many dogs around.  It was earlier than we usually arrive, we even beat Darby.  In the park were Phoebe who quickly left and Charlie Brown.  There was also a new 7-month old black dog named Sammy who was there for the duration.  It was a nice evening after the afternoon’s heavy rains and the dogs began to arrive in numbers.  Also new to the blog was a 6 month old Shepard named Heidi.  Finally, there was a white dog named Micky who I have seen before but never knew his name.  I left before sunset so I assume there were many other dogs soon to arrive but an hour and a half were enough for us.  Until next time, bow-wow.

2010-07-26 Denville Dog Park before and after sunset

On a delightfully cool Monday night there were lots of dogs there to welcome Scraps and Rags.  Rags for some reason has issues with Fargoe the husky as she barked and barked at him all evening long.  Does anyone know the name of the smaller of the two tan dogs here? Not Winston, but the other one.

2010-07-23 Denville Dog Park before and after sunset

Once again, after visiting the new Morris County dog park by Greystone, Scraps and Rags headed on over to the tried and true Denville Dog Park for a visit with some of their friends.  Just to report, while there are no amenities like water, seats or garbage pails, the new dog park looks like it is secure to use with a nice fence around both the small dog park, which is nicely shaded and the rolling grass fields of the main area.  It is worth checking out if you want to give you dog a place to really run.  In Denville tonight, there were no new dogs but plenty of old friends to share the humidity with.
