2010-07-10 Denville Dog Park before, during and after sunset

Who know the name of this new dog? Please leave its name in the comments.

Scraps and Rags arrived after the day’s much needed rain showers to a cooler and less humid dog park.  We arrived at 6:45 and left around 8:30.  When we got there many of the dogs were wet and muddy from laying in the pools and playing in the water and dirt associated with the pool.

The usual crowd was there at the dog park in addition to two new comers to the DenvilleDogPark.com blog community.  They were Texas Hold’em the brown cockapoo, who I will refer to from here on as Tex.  There was also a medium black pointy exuberant dog whose name I didn’t catch  If anyone know this dog please post it here.

By the time this new dog got to the dog park the sun was way gone and my pictures are grainy at best.  If anyone wants good pictures of their dogs it is incumbent on you to get there before the sun sets over the hill and to have your dog play in the sunlight, not in the shadows.  Just a little bit of advice.

2010-07-08 Denville Dog Park before, during and after sunset

Does anyone know this dog's name?

The weather broke from its heatwave a bit enabling Scraps and Rags to finally get out of the house and enjoy the dog park.  Well it let Rags get to the dog park and bark at every dog she encountered while Scraps was just wanting his mom to show up.  She never did. Nevertheless, a lot of other dogs also took this opportunity to get out of their respective houses and enjoy the comfortable weather.  There were several new dogs to our www.DenvilleDogPark.com blog including Sammy and Sarge, Roxy, Coco, Abby, Emma, Darla and Fargoe.  Additionally, there was a little black dog who was there when I first arrived but I don’t know his name.  He is currently known as ?-dog until someone tels me his name for real.  Please leave a comment if you know this black dog’s name.

2010-06-24– Denville Dog Before and After Sunset

After a hot and humid day, the dog park proved to be quite a comfortable place to hang after the sun began to set.  The big new addition, and I do mean big, was Milo the St Bernard.  He was quite mellow but he had something about him that made other dogs like Rags and Harley bark at him.  It must be the “new dog in the park syndrome.”  Unfortunately, by the time Jax, Murphy and Harley arrived it was getting dark and I didn’t get any good pictures of these dogs.  Goes to show you have to get there when the light is shining right.

2010-06-15 – Denville Dog Park After Sunset

Scraps and Rags arrived after sunset at the dog park.  We met a few new dogs including a tiny8-month dachshund named Chelsea as well as a black standard poodle name Harley and a medium white dog furry name Murphy.  Besides them Buddy, Rusty, Phoebe, Milo the White and Yoshi were there.  We had to cut our stay short because Scraps broke his dew-claw while chasing a ball in the grass.  This the the 4th time this has happened to him so we are pretty good at taking care of it by now.  We scooped him up and drove to the 24-hour animal hospital in West Caldwell on Bloomfield Ave.  A couple of hours and $175 dollars later he was all snipped and bandaged up ready to grow and break that thing for another time.  Nevertheless, below are the few  pictures I took up to the time of Scraps’ accident.
