2010-11-06 Central Dog Park on Saturday Afternoon

Scraps and Rags got arrived at 12:00 noon on this beautiful Saturday.  Some of autumn’s color were still shining through.  It made a nice back drop for the day’s activities and photographs.  There were a lot of cars and dogs at the park when we arrived.  There were a whole bunch of small ones and and big bunch of big ones so we headed to the small dog park first. There were lots of couples fighting and frolicking which sometimes crossed paths and joined into mass circling.  Was a lot of fun in that small dog park.

There was much of the same in the  large dog park.  We only stayed until 12:55 but we saw a lot of new dogs.  The only one I got the name of was Sadie, the grey Weisenheimer, as she flew in front of the camera just right so I could read her blue name tag, so we welcome Sadie to the blog.

It was a nice comfortable day, there were a lot of dogs playing and having fun and the sun was shining. This made for a lot of nice pictures so check them all out.

2010-11-02 Central Dog Park on Election Day

It was a beautiful Election Day 2010 and this gave Scraps and Rags the opportunity to both go vote and take a nice long walk to and from the dog park.  It’s 1.3 miles each way, but it gave me a chance to enjoy the colors and even photograph a hawk in a tree on the way home. Unfortunately, the dogs can’t vote, is that right? and as Bailey’s fathers was discussing, therefore they have no hope of ever getting government sponsored health care coverage.  It’s a wacky dog-eat-dog world out there so stay on your paws out there.

When we arrived at the dog park at 12:45 it wasn’t too crowded but I did get the opportunity to meet and welcome Bosco the black, not brown, fluffy dog to the blog.  There was also Ziva the black dog who I didn’t really meet but was able to read his name off his tag.   While only there for 45 minutes we got lots of good photographs of the dogs,  so check them out.  Speaking of voting, inside the photo galleries of the Fidogenic.SmugMug.com site you can vote on pictures you like so feel free to like a photo or two. The most popular photos may one day end up on the front cover of Fidogeneic.SmugMug.com so vote for your favorite.

2010-11-01 Central Dog Park on Monday Afternoon

Scraps and Rags were lucky enough to get some dog park time in on a Monday afternoon.  Speaking of lucky enough, when we arrived there was this tiny, 6-month old black and white dog named Lucky, who we will welcome as LuckySmall.  Also new to me and the blog was a puffy white dog named Baxter. There were more dogs and more activity in the small dog park including a frantic Jack Russell that would leave many alone.  Finally, we saw old time friends Ollie and Grace, the white and black standard poodles we know from the Denville dog park.

It was sunny out and with the leaves falling ff the trees the light shined through on the dog’s faces and I got a lot of good photographs, so check them out.

2010-10-29 Central Dog Park on a Friday Afternoon

After a beautiful kayak trip on the colorful Passaic River in Baskin Ridge, I grabbed the dogs and headed on over to the dog park to catch some Friday afternoon action.  We got there at 2:00, before the after work crowd headed over, so it wasn’t too busy, but the sun was a little higher in the sky and I did get some good photographs.  Spent sometime first in the large dog park and then in the little dog park.  It was a quick hour with a lap around the track in between. Don’t have anytime to write because we have to head to the Morristown critical mass bike ride that starts at 6:30, the last Friday of every month.
