2010-06-26– Denville Dog Park – Alone at Noon

It was a hot Saturday afternoon at the dog park and there was no one else there.  We  encouraged Scraps and Rags to run around the small dog park the best that we could but that was difficult in the sunshine so we soon took off.

2010-06-24– Denville Dog Before and After Sunset

After a hot and humid day, the dog park proved to be quite a comfortable place to hang after the sun began to set.  The big new addition, and I do mean big, was Milo the St Bernard.  He was quite mellow but he had something about him that made other dogs like Rags and Harley bark at him.  It must be the “new dog in the park syndrome.”  Unfortunately, by the time Jax, Murphy and Harley arrived it was getting dark and I didn’t get any good pictures of these dogs.  Goes to show you have to get there when the light is shining right.

2010-06-18– Denville Dog Park Just Before Sunset

New to the DenvilleDogPark.com blog tonight is Moose.  After being out with his broken dew claw injury from the other night, Scarps made his reappearance at the dog park.

2010-06-15 – Denville Dog Park After Sunset

Scraps and Rags arrived after sunset at the dog park.  We met a few new dogs including a tiny8-month dachshund named Chelsea as well as a black standard poodle name Harley and a medium white dog furry name Murphy.  Besides them Buddy, Rusty, Phoebe, Milo the White and Yoshi were there.  We had to cut our stay short because Scraps broke his dew-claw while chasing a ball in the grass.  This the the 4th time this has happened to him so we are pretty good at taking care of it by now.  We scooped him up and drove to the 24-hour animal hospital in West Caldwell on Bloomfield Ave.  A couple of hours and $175 dollars later he was all snipped and bandaged up ready to grow and break that thing for another time.  Nevertheless, below are the few  pictures I took up to the time of Scraps’ accident.
