2011-04-02 Denville Dog Park Solo on a Cold Sunday

Scraps and Rags wanted to play outside after missing dog agility class last night, so  we headed to the Denville Dog Park.  The Morris County Dog Park is still closed and under renovation.  It was a real mess following this winter of record snow so the park needs a little rest and recovery.

When we all arrived at the Denville Dog Park there were no dogs in there but the sun was out so it was fun to run and take some photographs.  We also practiced some agility which almost made up for last night’s loss.  Rags and Scraps did some nice “Come” training and with the empty dog park, Scraps was able to chase his tiny balls; and who doesn’t want to do that?

2011-03-26 Denville Dog Park – A Cold Saturday

Scraps and Rags headed to the Denville Dog Park on this cold Saturday afternoon.  Though the sun was out, the wind was strong and snow lingered on the ground from this week’s minor snowfalls.  We couldn’t really chase balls in the small dog park because the grass was too swampy.  Additionally, the snow covered the agility area so we just hung out in the moist gravel of the large dog park.  There were only a handful of dogs but we did meet a new dog to the blog named Colby. He had similar coloring to Scraps and chased a ball over and over again; never tiring, it was pretty cool.  At least the sun was out and dipping in the shy so we got some good lighting and coloring on the photos.  By the way, the Morris County Dog Park at Central Park is still closed for maintenance.

2011-03-20 Denville Dog Park Sunny Crowded Sunday

Compared to last Sunday at the Denville Dog Park, this last day of winter proved to be a beautiful day to be with your dogs at the dog park.  Though temperatures were only in the 50’s, the sun was out and there was no wind, so it was comfortable.  We stayed from around 3:00 to 4:30.

Scraps and Rags saw many of the Denville Dog Park faithful that they haven’t seen in a long while.  With the Morris County Dog Park still closed for renovations, the Denville Dog Park again provided a great outlet for Scraps and Rags.   With the nice crowd of dogs that were at the dog park, the Denville Dog Park experienced showed why it is one not to be taken for granted.  I am very happy we decided to maintain our membership at the Denville Dog Park.

A couple of new dogs to the dog park blog include Rosie, and rambunctious 9-month old puppy and her brother Masie.   I assume I spelled Maisie’s name wrong but we welcome the two of them nevertheless.  The sun was out and getting low in the sky and there were lots of dogs playing.  I was able to capture a lot of nice photographs, so check them out.

2011-03-13 Denville Dog Park Solo on a Cold Sunday

With the Morris County Dog Park at Central Park still closed for maintenance, Scraps and Rags decided to head on over to the Denville Dog Park for some fun and run but not in the sun.  It was a cold, blustery day and we found no one at the park.  It was just Scraps and Rags.  We did some agility training, one of the advantages of the Denville Dog Park, chased a few balls and headed on home. Though, dull and grey, due to the lack of sun, I did capture of few good shots of the dogs running back and forth. 50% of Profits From Sale of Photos Will Be Donated To Support the Dog Park – To view a slide show of the photos taken or to purchase downloads ($0.99/download), prints or other items go to my SmugMug link below.
