2010-11-22 Central park on Monday Afternoon

Scraps and Rags got out for a quick one hour stay in the dog park.  It was partially cloudy outside and due to the time of day and week, not too crowded.  We did a big dog park sandwich on small dog park bread.  It was nice for Scraps and Rags to get a rare weekday afternoon trip to the dog park in.

2010-11-21 Central Dog Park on Sunday Morning

Sunday proved to be pretty nice, a bit brisk, but not too cold to get the dogs out.  Scraps and Rags weren’t the only ones to have this thought as the dog park was pretty crowded when we got there around 11:00 a.m.  We spent some time in the small dog park and then when large.  There was some good chasing and wresting going on.  New to the blog was a light tan Puggle, I think, named Pearl.  She was playing nicely with with the black and white pug.  At least the sun was out and I was able to catch some of the action so check the pictures out.

2010-11-20 Central Dog Park on Saturday Afternoon

On a cool and overcast Saturday afternoon Scraps ad Rags enjoyed the Central Park dog park with a bunch of other friends.  It being Saturday and the fact that it wasn’t raining meant there were lots of dogs to play with at the dog park.  We spent quite a while initially in the small dog park and eventually made our way to the large one.  We did a little jog down the path and then took pictures of the other dogs that were playing.  Although it hasn’t rained a lot recently, the park is getting worn and muddy.  The once grassy meadows are turning slippery and muddy.  The dog park hasn’t really experienced a time of extended rain, so it will be interesting to see ho it will stand up to it.

I did catch several new names of dogs we met and officially now welcome them to this photo blog.  They include Addy and Tootsie, which are both little black dogs. Minnie was the black and white Boston Terrier and she had a brown and white sibling for whom I didn’t catch the name.   Finally there was Princess the wired-haired Jack Russell get abused in the large dog park.  Welcome one and all.

2010-11-14 Central Dog Park on Sunday Afternoon

It’s football Sunday afternoon with the Jets at 1:00 and the Giants at 4:00 so the dogs came to the dog park in spurts trying to fit their fun in between the games.  Scraps and Rags, being the Giant fans that they are, didn’t mind missing the Jet 1:00 game so they hung out for a few hours at the park between 12:30 and 3:00.

First we all checked out the small dog park which was bristling with action.  Scraps was enjoying his new rubber Chuck-it balls. The small dog park started out with a lot of dogs and then the pack thinned out.  We all headed to the big dog park next and hung out there for a while.  We completed the day back in the small dog park which only had a few dogs to begin with and then they came flooding in.

There were many dogs at the park on this beautiful fall day.  We met a lot of new ones which I am going to welcome to the blog in mass since there were so many.  Welcomed to the dog park blog are new dogs Penny, Maddie, Hooter, Bagel, Dradle, Figgy and Paco.  The sun was partially out so I took advantage of the sunlight when I could capture it.  There are lots of good photos so check them out.
