On a nice cool Tuesday evening Scraps and Rags got out early to to the small dog park for a half hour of fun. Eventually a few dog came out to join them including fast Charlie Black and Bruno. Scraps and Rags did have a play time with them, but it was just a little and we were out of there. There are a handful of photos to check out.

On a nice Thursday evening Scraps and Rags got out to rest at the small dog park. There were only a handful of dogs and the sun was behind the trees so the photos are only so good, but you take what you are given. As such, there are only a handful of photos.

It was a nice, cool Tuesday evening at the small dog park. There weren’t too many dogs there, but for exception of Scraps and Rags, most of them were having a good time. Scraps and Rags just hung out for the most part. The brother and sister basset hound mixes played with great intensity. The little black dog lived to jump and chase the tennis ball. The sun was behind the trees and the photos are a bit dull, but the fun may make up for it, so check ‘em out.

Monday was just as nice as Sunday, but Scraps and Rags could get there until evening. This meant fewer dogs but we did see some we have seen in a while including GracieRedShoes and Ringo. After we closed out the small dog park we took a quick walk through the big one and headed home. It was pretty dark out so my photo opportunities were limited but if you were there, you may want to take an gander.

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon feeling like spring is upon us and the dogs, Scraps and Rags, were ready to get outside and enjoy some of the sunshine. They weren’t alone in their thoughts as a lot of other dogs were at the park to join us. The sun was out and I took some nice photographs.

Scraps and Rags have hardly made an appearance at the dog park in 2012. The nice weather and the dog’s nephews got them to get their owners to bring them to the dog park on this glorious Sunday afternoon. Actually, Scraps and Rags did a little chasing around and socializing once they got there, so it was a pretty good experience for everyone. There was a nice group of dogs in the small dog park, where we spent all of our time. The sun was out, the weather was nice and I was able to snap a few good pictures.

2012-01-12 Morris County Dog Park in 2012

Scraps and Rags were lucky enough to get the day out of the house and go to the dog park on this brisk Monday afternoon. This is the first day for all of us at the dog park in 2012. It was cold and only a few small dogs to play with. Two new ones that we met were Minnie and Maxie, so we welcome them to the dog park photo blog. Minnie was quite a fun and active dog. Happy new years to all the people and dogs out there and let hope 2012 bring a lot of barking good fun.

2011-12-04 Morris County and Denville Dog Parks on a Sunny Sunday

It was another beautiful Sunday which sent Scraps and Rags bark hopping to a variety of dog parks. We went from an exciting time at the small dog park at Central Park to a peaceful time at Denville dog park and capped the afternoon off with a return to central Park.

Initially in Central Park we met Toby, a long-haired Chihuahua, who was the most energetic dog in the park. Giving Rory a run for his money. It was nice to see this tiny burst of energy flying around the mud and providing entertainment to everyone. We welcome Toby to the dog park blog.

As I mentioned, we headed to the Denville dog park for some agility practice as Scraps and Rags have a competition this weekend and a little work on the weave poles will do them good. We did meet Milo there when we arrive who was the only dog in Denville. After some good agility practice, ball fetching and photo taking we were ready to go home. One the way we passed the central dog park and it was once again happening so we stopped by for a little night-cap.

2011-11-27 Morris County Dog Park on Sunday Afternoon

Warm weather and the end of the Thanksgiving weekend brought Scraps and Rags out for a jaunt around the small dog park before the Jet game started at 1:00pm. When we arrived there must have been 20 dogs in the dog park and by the one o’clock hour there was just a handful.

While we were there we did see Rory leading the charge of playful dogs. Suzette, who is new to the blog and welcomed, also was a playful bundle of energy playing with the the tiny and cute Coco, who is also new and welcomed to the dog park blog. Lastly I need to welcome Rowlf, whose name I caught off his dog tag. There were lots of other dogs jumping and playing and the conditions were ripe for excellent photos, so check them out.

2011-11-19 Morris County Dog Park on a Sunny Saturday

It was a nice crisp Saturday afternoon and when Scraps and Rags arrived at the small dog park. The nice weather brought out lots of dogs. There was a real cute 12-week old puppy playing with other small dogs and that gave me a great opportunity the capture some good photos.

Scraps and Rags aren’t much for playing so after a brief stint in the small dog park we took a leisurely walk around Central Park and then ended up at the large dog park’s western entrance. While closed to cars and parking, the gate was open to us so we enjoyed a second round of dog park fun in the large dog park. There was also a nice sized population of dogs playing here providing me the chance to capture lots of good action shots of the larger dogs playing. One new dog name I did discover by seeing it on a dog tag was Brandy, a smallish tan dog and amazingly enough the first one listed in this blog, so welcome to Brandy.
